The Do's and Don'ts of Pay Per Click Advertising

1. NEVER click on your own links - you WILL get permenantly banned (this does happen)
2. Don't write things on your site telling people to click on your adverts (you will get banned)
3. Don't cover your page with adverts, you will put people off returning to your page (think of the big picture)
4. Keep it topical - you are much more likley to get clicks through you site if the content is of interest to the person.
5. Experiment, Experiment, Experiment - keep changing the position of your adverts and their content to see which works best.
6. Don't quit your Affiliate Programs - you can have a site that makes money from both affilate programs and pay per click advertising.
7. You can block your competitors sites from appearing in your PPC adverts. Although its nice to be making money from your competitors you wouldn't let them advertise on your site normally would you.
